NEWBORN FAQ
After having three babies of my own I can officially say that the early years are so fleeting. Take ALL the photographs! Your children will love you for it when they’re older. Be in them! Have someone take them for you! That’s where I come into the picture…. My newborn packages start at $880 with each package including the high-resolution digital files to keep. They’re certainly photographs you won’t regret.
Q. What age is best for newborn photographs?
I like to photograph baby as little as possible, around seven to ten days old is ideal. They are still very sleepy, have their knees curled up and haven’t had a chance for any skin reactions from feeding etc. This is the perfect age for wrapping and posing too.
Q. When is the best time to book?
I only take a limited number of bookings each month so it’s best to get in early, definitely while you’re still pregnant to make sure I can hold you a spot for the month you are due.
Q. How long should we allow for our newborn shoot?
On average, I spend two hours with my families. I allow for feeds and settling if need be. You won’t feel at all rushed.
Q. Do you come to us?
Yes, I sure do. The shoot is set up in the comfort of your own home. I bring a range of wraps and blankets and work from the room that has the most natural light coming through. I also like to incorporate a lifestyle aspect into your session and photograph your whole family naturally around your home.
Q. Can our older children be involved?
Absolutely! I encourage whole family photographs and set up many shots with siblings too.
Q. How long does it take for our photographs to be returned?
I allow 2-3wks for editing and perfecting your photographs. There’ll be some sneak peeks sent to you along the way. You can then visit your personalised gallery online to see your whole gallery. Your gallery will remain live for four weeks.
Q. Can we order prints and products via our online gallery?
Yes, absolutely! I highly recommend sharing your gallery password with friends and family so they can order directly via the online site too. Parents and grandparents LOVE this bonus option, as photographs are sent to them within a week of ordering.
Q. Can we download our photographs directly from our online gallery?
Yes. Once a package is decided upon, all files are available for immediate download at full quality.
Q. What’s the best way to let you know our baby has been born?
I love hearing from you via text/email as soon as you’re comfortable to share your happy news. I’ll then reply with a photo-shoot date and time for the following week.
